Detroit's musical legacy is known around the world.

But there's another part of that legacy worth celebrating: the artists who have made a tradition of passing it on.

On December 15, we'll bring that story to the stage with a concert featuring some of Detroit's finest musicians and special performances by Crescendo Detroit's students, while also honoring some of the Detroit artists, educators and mentors, past and present, who have shaped the city's musical legacy and helped pass it forward.

We’ll be sharing more soon about the incredible artists joining us and our plans to honor Detroit musicians whose impact reaches far beyond the stage. Through their music, mentorship and commitment to the next generation, their influence continues in Detroit and around the world.
